Raindrop therapy is a combination of aromatherapy,  reflexology and other techniques to bring balance to the body along with a sense of harmony and wellness. It includes mental, emotional and physical clearing.  Raindrop therapy strengthens the immune system, restoring balance and normal function to weak body systems, and promotes harmony physically, mentally and emotionally.

History

Raindrop therapy originated with Gary Young, who researched aromatherapy for more than 20 years.  He gives credit to the Native American Lakota, the Hunza people of the Himalayan Mountains and people of Inner Mongolia for his inspiration.  The premise behind this method of healing is specific oils used in sequence with each other reduce the body’s inflammations and destroy viral presence.  The oils flush out toxins and kill dormant viruses and bacteria along the spine to restore health to our entire system.

Antimicrobial oils used in raindrop therapy reduce the body’s inflammation and destroy viral presence. Raindrop therapy oils are antibacterial, anti-infectious, anti-fungal, antiviral, and anti-parasitic.  They can reduce symptoms of arthritis, dermatitis, sciatica, allergies and other conditions.  For example, frankincense has the ability to lift the negative effects of despair and stress and stimulate parts of the brain.  And spruce is an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-infectious agent that stimulates emotions toward a sense of balance.

Nine essential oils are used for this treatment; they are applied along the spine like little drops of rain, brushing them lightly on the spine and gently massaging the back.  A hot compress then helps facilitate the oils’ absorption in muscles and promotes relaxation.

Oils have a healing effect on the body, and are absorbed through the skin to the interstitial fluid to help fight bacteria and viruses that travel through the body.  Essential oils stimulate nerves, and help regrow tissues. They have long been known to promote improved immune systems.

My Own Experience:

I had congestion that lasted for months.  I could not shake it. Although it did not keep me down, it was irritating.  I had a friend administer raindrop therapy.  That evening I had a 101° temperature; by Monday the whole condition was gone.  Yippee!  It worked like a charm.

How long do the effects of this application last?

Because we all respond differently, it can last from a week or two to months for some.  The treatment takes 60 to 90 minutes.
